As a result of our rapid success, we are looking for a System Administrator to support and grow with our IT team in Houston, Texas.

As a Systems Administrator for PPI Quality & Engineering, you will be part of a small, dynamic team working in many different aspects of information technology.  You will provide technical support to maintain the organization’s computational systems, both hardware and software and other peripheral equipment to ensure optimal performance so that end users can maintain high productivity and efficiency.

 

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Maintain, analyze, troubleshoot, and repair PC related hardware and peripherals
  • Install and support enterprise-wide applications such as Windows 10, Office 365, and Microsoft Teams as well as internal business applications
  • Provide timely support via phone and ticketing systems (SolarWinds Service Desk) and remote assistance (Dameware)
  • Maintain user accounts in Active Directory and Office 365
  • Onboarding of new employees and off-boarding of departing employees
  • Setup and shipment of new and replacement hardware/peripherals
  • Engage vendor support contacts to resolve technical problems with desktop computing equipment and software
  • Create and maintain documentation on projects and recurring procedures
  • Gather feedback from end users about system performance
  • Generate and maintain Knowledge Based articles
  • Provide advice and technical training
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and developments
  • Other duties/projects as assigned

 

Minimum Requirements

  • College Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proven customer support skills
  • Ability to work with end users and troubleshoot application and/or service related issues, determine root cause
  • Solid operating knowledge of Windows 10
  • Proven skills in troubleshooting and resolving PC hardware issues
  • Knowledge of current trending cloud computing technologies
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

                                                                                              

Desired Qualifications

  • Operating knowledge of Office 365, Azure AD, Intune, Windows Server 2012+
  • Knowledge of Networking i.e. LAN/WAN (Juniper, Dell, Ubiquiti, etc.)
  • Experience supporting conference room technology and VoIP technology
  • Experience working with vendors for service related issues
